Ningbo’s highways total 10,200km
?Driven by fast development of economy and intensified investment, the transportation development of Ningbo has witnessed great breakthroughs, with the highways now totaling 10,200 km and a highway network with one ring and six radiating ways formed. In addition, 100% of the villages can be accessible via roads.
??Currently the construction of roads and stations in the city is in full swing. The north railway station, the east station and the south station and the eastern section of the ring expressway are under construction. The redevelopment of the passenger transportation center and the docks are underway too. The Yu-Ci comprehensive transport hub that has just had foundation laid is good beginning. The center combines railway, light rail, public transportation, long-distance passenger transportation, taxi and parking lots. It will bring about a lot of convenience to travelers between Yuyao and Ningbo. Meanwhile it will definitely boost the economic development of the two places.
??Mr. Yu Gang, the chief director of the transportation bureau said the future development of the transport sector will highlight both construction and management. They would learn from the western countries and well integrate the matching of various transportation means.
